Graduating with honors in Veterinary Medicine from the esteemed University of Ibadan in 1999, Dr. Makinde laid the foundation for a career dedicated to the well-being of both animals and agricultural communities. However, recognizing the need to complement his veterinary knowledge with business skills, he pursued further education, earning a Masters in Business Administration in Agric Business from The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, in 2005.

Armed with a comprehensive understanding of both the biological and commercial aspects of agriculture, Dr. Makinde embarked on a journey to make a tangible difference in the lives of farmers.

Veterinary Expertise & Early Career

For over a decade, Dr. Makinde lent his expertise to a prominent feed milling company, providing invaluable technical services and insights to enhance agricultural productivity. His veterinary background allowed him to address animal health challenges effectively, improving livestock welfare and farm outputs.

Recognizing the importance of business acumen in agriculture, Dr. Makinde earned his MBA in Agric Business in 2005, equipping him with the skills to manage agricultural enterprises and drive sustainable growth.

In 2012, alongside his twin brother, Dr. Makinde co-founded Totmak Farmers Centre, a comprehensive agricultural enterprise offering inputs, veterinary drugs, vaccines, diagnostic services, training, and consultancy. Under his leadership, the centre has flourished, empowering farmers and creating employment opportunities across Nigeria.
